By accessing and using Yammy ("the Service"), available at yammy.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. You must be at least 13 years of age to use Yammy.

2. Description of Service

Yammy is a free, AI-powered recipe discovery and generation platform. The Service allows you to browse a library of AI-generated recipes and generate new recipe variations using artificial intelligence. No account or registration is required.

Recipe generation is rate limited to 3 requests per hour per user. We reserve the right to adjust these limits at any time to ensure fair access for all users.

3. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

All recipes, food photography, and related content on Yammy are generated by artificial intelligence (Google Gemini AI) and have not been tested, verified, or reviewed by human chefs, nutritionists, or food safety experts.

AI-generated recipes may contain inaccuracies including but not limited to:

• Incorrect ingredient quantities or measurements
• Unsafe cooking temperatures or preparation times
• Missing, incomplete, or incorrect allergen information
• Unusual or incompatible ingredient combinations
• Inaccurate nutritional or dietary information
• Instructions that may not produce the intended result

AI-generated images are artistic representations and may not accurately depict the final appearance of a prepared recipe. All content is provided for informational and entertainment purposes only.

4. Food Safety Disclaimer

You assume full responsibility for the preparation, handling, and consumption of any food made using recipes found on Yammy.

• Allergens: It is your responsibility to review all ingredients for potential allergens or dietary restrictions. AI may fail to identify or warn about common allergens such as nuts, dairy, gluten, shellfish, soy, or eggs.
• Cooking Safety: Always verify cooking temperatures and times with authoritative sources such as the FDA or USDA. AI may suggest temperatures or times that are insufficient to ensure food safety.
• Ingredient Safety: Use your own judgment when evaluating suggested ingredients and combinations. If something seems unusual or unsafe, do not use it.
• Medical Conditions: If you have food allergies, dietary restrictions, or health conditions, consult a qualified healthcare professional or dietitian before preparing any recipe.

Yammy is not a substitute for professional culinary training, nutritional advice, or food safety guidance.

5. Intellectual Property

The Yammy website, including its design, layout, branding, and underlying code, is owned by Yammy. Recipe content and images are generated by Google Gemini AI.

You are free to use AI-generated recipes from Yammy for personal, non-commercial purposes. The legal status of copyright for AI-generated content is evolving; we make no guarantees regarding intellectual property rights over AI-generated recipes or images.

Daily recipe generation uses seed data from TheMealDB, a publicly available recipe database.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Attempt to bypass, circumvent, or manipulate rate limiting or other security measures
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to scrape content or overload the Service
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to interfere with the proper operation of the Service or its infrastructure
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service

We reserve the right to restrict or block access for users who violate these terms.

7. Service Availability

Yammy is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or continuous availability of the Service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice.

The Service depends on third-party infrastructure including Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database and storage), and Google Gemini AI (content generation). Outages or changes to these services may affect Yammy's functionality.

8. Third-Party Services

Yammy relies on third-party services to operate, including Google Gemini AI, Vercel, Supabase, and TheMealDB. These services have their own terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of any third-party service.

The Service may contain links to external websites. We do not control and are not responsible for the content or practices of any third-party websites.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Yammy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Foodborne illness, allergic reactions, injuries, or property damage resulting from the preparation or consumption of AI-generated recipes
• Errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in AI-generated content
• Loss of data, revenue, or profits arising from use of the Service
• Service interruptions, downtime, or unavailability
• Actions or failures of third-party services

Because the Service is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed zero dollars ($0).

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Yammy and its operators from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from:

• Your use of AI-generated recipes or content
• Food preparation, handling, or consumption based on recipes from the Service
• Your violation of these Terms of Service
• Your violation of any applicable law or regulation

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the applicable federal or state courts. We encourage you to contact us first to attempt to resolve any disputes informally.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
