1 lb lean ground beef
1 large yellow onion, thinly sliced
2 tbsp unsalted butter, divided
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
0.5 tsp black pepper
0.5 cup plain dry breadcrumbs
1 large egg, beaten
0.25 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions
