These crispy air-fryer Thai drumsticks are ready in just 40 minutes and deliver a perfect balance of sweet, savory, and spicy flavors. Marinated in garlic, ginger, and fish sauce, they get incredibly crispy without excess oil.
Pat the chicken drumsticks completely dry with paper towels to ensure a super crispy skin.
In a large bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, fish sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and vegetable oil until the sugar is dissolved.
Add the drumsticks to the bowl and toss thoroughly to coat each piece, then let them marinate at room temperature for 10 minutes.
Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (190°C) for 5 minutes before cooking.
Arrange the drumsticks in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each piece for optimal air circulation.
Air fry at 380°F (190°C) for 20 to 22 minutes, flipping the drumsticks halfway through, until the skin is deeply browned and crisp.
Check that the internal temperature has reached 165°F (74°C) using a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the drumstick.
Transfer the cooked drumsticks to a serving platter, garnish with chopped cilantro, and serve hot with fresh lime wedges.
