This zesty variation elevates the classic pairing of shrimp and snow peas by tossing them in a rich garlic butter sauce brightened with fresh lemon juice. It is a restaurant-quality meal that comes together in under 30 minutes, offering a perfect balance of crisp textures and savory, citrusy flavors.
Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and season evenly with salt and black pepper.
Heat 1 tablespoon of butter and the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the snow peas to the skillet and sauté for 2-3 minutes until they are bright green and crisp-tender. Remove them from the pan and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted and bubbling, add the shrimp in a single layer.
Cook the shrimp for 1-2 minutes per side until they turn pink and opaque. Do not overcook.
Stir in the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking for just 30 seconds until fragrant.
Return the snow peas to the pan, then add the lemon juice and lemon zest. Toss everything together to coat in the sauce.
Remove from heat immediately, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve hot.
