This recipe streamlines the traditional British 'fry-up' by cooking everything in a single large skillet, significantly reducing cleanup without sacrificing any flavor. It features all the beloved essentials—crispy bacon, sausages, eggs, and beans—simmered together for the ultimate hearty weekend brunch.
Heat the vegetable oil in a large (12-inch) non-stick skillet over medium heat.
Add the sausages to the pan and cook for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally until browned on all sides.
Push the sausages to one side of the pan. Add the bacon slices and the mushrooms. Cook for 3-5 minutes until the bacon starts to crisp and mushrooms soften.
Add the tomato halves, cut-side down, into the pan. Pour the baked beans into the center or any open space in the skillet. Let everything simmer together for 2 minutes.
Using a spoon, create four small wells in the beans or clear spaces between the ingredients. Carefully crack an egg into each space.
Reduce the heat to medium-low, cover the skillet with a lid (or foil), and cook for 4-6 minutes, or until the egg whites are set but the yolks are still runny.
Season the eggs and tomatoes with a pinch of salt and freshly cracked black pepper.
Remove from heat immediately and serve directly from the skillet with slices of toasted bread.
